BEST PRACTICES ON HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR VIVACE® HANDPIECE AND MICRONEEDLE CARTRIDGE NEEDLE SETS!

The Vivace® device generates and delivers RF energy into the dermis through sterile microneedle tips. The delivered RF energy converts into heat energy in the dermis and can be used as indicated on most skin types and color. Vivace® is FDA-cleared for your safety on skin types I-V.

Caring for your microneedle cartridge needles properly, ensures safety for both users and patients, and assures a high level of quality is maintained. Today we are sharing with you some best practices for the care of your needle sets.

MICRONEEDLE NEEDLE SETS.. LET’S REVIEW THE BASICS!

The microneedle cartridge is in sterile packaging. Always check the condition of the package before use. Do not use the needle set if the packaging appears to be opened or damaged in any way. Always replace any damaged packaged needle set with new needle set if necessary.

The microneedle cartridge is for single use only. Please dispose after each use to avoid risk of cross contamination. While the needle set should only be used once, it is designed so that one needle set can be used to treat multiple areas (eg face, neck, chest) in one treatment.

The microneedle cartridge needle set shelf life is guaranteed for three years from the manufacture date. All needle sets should be replaced with new cartridges after expiration date.

HOW TO PROPERLY ATTACH MICRONEEDLE CARTRIGE TO HANDPIECE?

STEP 1: Inspect microneedle cartridge and make sure needle set is full retracted. There should be no visible needles extending, as seen in Figure 1. If needles are extended (see Figure 2 and Figure 3), lightly tap packaged base on a flat surface until needle tips have fully retracted, or manually pull-down needle set from inside the wide opening with clean gloves, while making sure needle set remains sterile.

STEP 2: Once you have confirmed needle tips are retracted, place the handpiece in an upright position, as shown below.

STEP 3: To connect the microneedle cartridge to the handpiece, place the microneedle cartridge over the handpiece with the hitches on the sides of the microneedle cartridge over the circular notches on the sides of the handpiece.

Push the microneedle cartridge down so the circular peg slides inside the carved notch of microneedle cartridge.

Then, once the needles are fully retracted inside the microneedle cartridge, twist the microneedle cartridge clockwise until it locks into place. Make sure that you have a visual line up of the gold prongs inside the microneedle cartridge. These MUST contact the gold circular leads on the end of the handpiece for the RF to transmit.
